Student Leaders@NY

Eggs & Toast is NY’s first online anthology of leadership experiences. It is a collection of true stories about past and present student leaders of NYJC. The amazing stories and experiences can then be shared among the NY population.

So, why the title?
As food, this dish is a nutritious, easy-to-make and tasty breakfast which is well-loved by many. On another level, to “egg” someone on is to cheer him on to achieve something, while to propose a “toast” to someone is to honour and to celebrate this particular person.

So how can you get started?
Remember, you can share your own story or share with us about someone you know. We welcome Chinese, Malay and Tamil versions as well. Teachers, alumni and current students are all welcome to share their stories.

What: JC1 Level Camp 2008
When: 6th and 7th March 2008
Where: NYJC

The JC1 Level Camp is an annual event introduced into our college in 2005, to provide training for all JC1 NYJCians to become leaders of tomorrow! This year, we will be focusing on developing NYJCians’ Resilience, Resourcefulness and Teamwork through a series of activities and reflections. These values are three of the five core values of our college.  Add to that, you’ll have a blast getting to know your new classmates!
